The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 37,679 out of 91,008 passed the Nurse Licensure Examination given by the Board of Nursing in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, La Union, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last July 2010.
The members of the Board of Nursing are Carmencita M. Abaquin, Chairman; Leonila A. Faire, Betty F. Merritt, Perla G. Po, Marco Antonio C. Sto.Tomas (inhibited), Yolanda C. Arugay and Amelia B. Rosales (inhibited), Members.
The results of examination with respect to five (5) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examination.
Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps, and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2010-2013. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination in Manila as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on Monday and Tuesday, September 20 and 21, 2010, with morning (8:00 A.M.) and afternoon (1:00 P.M.) sessions at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City. All must come in their white gala uniform, nurse’s cap, white duty shoes, without earrings, hair not touching the collar and without corsage.

RE-SCHEDULING THE DECEMBER, 2010 NURSES LICENSURE EXAMINATIONFROM DECEMBER 12 & 13, 2010 TO DECEMBER 19 & 20, 2010 AND PROVIDINGFOR A NEW DEADLINE OF FILING OF APPLICATIONS FOR REPEATERAPPLICANTS FROM SEPTEMBER 8, 2010 TO SEPTEMBER 28, 2010
WHEREAS, in the exercise of its powers under Section 7 (d) of R.A. No. 8981,the Commission issued Resolution No. 2009-537, series of 2009 which fixed the datesand designated the places for holding the various licensure examinations of theProfessional Regulatory Boards for Calendar Year 2010. The said Resolution also setthe dates of the Second Phase of the Nurses Licensure Examination on December 12& 13, 2010 (Sunday-Monday) and the deadline of filing of applications of repeaterapplicants on September 8, 2010;
WHEREAS, the second day of the December, 2010 Nurses LicensureExamination will fall on Monday, December 13, 2010 which happens to be a school day;
WHEREAS, since the Commission makes use of public and private schools asexamination venues, there will be no available schools that can be used on the secondday of the December, 2010 Licensure Examination;
WHEREAS, the Regional Director of PRC Baguio Regional Office has expressedhis concern about the non-availability of schools to be used as examination venues ifthe licensure examination will push through on December 12 & 13, 2010;
WHEREAS, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has issued CMO No.44, s. 2009 setting the start of the Christmas vacation on December 20, 2010;
WHEREAS, the Department of Education (DEPED) has likewise issued DepEdOrder No. 26, s. 2010 setting the start of the Christmas vacation on December 18,2010;
WHEREAS, the results of the July, 2010 Licensure Examination will be releasedon the last week of August, 2010 and there will be very limited time for repeaterapplicants to beat the deadline on September 8, 2010;
WHEREAS, there is a need to move the schedule of the December, 2010 NursesLicensure Examination as well as the deadline of filing of applications for repeaterapplicants in order to have a smooth and orderly application, administration and conductof the examination.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board hereby resolved, as it now resolves, to reschedulethe December, 2010 Nurses Licensure Examination from December 12 & 13,2010 to DECEMBER 19 & 20, 2010 (SUNDAY-MONDAY) and to provide for a newdeadline of filing of applications for repeater applicants from September 8, 2010 toSEPTEMBER 28, 2010.
Let a copy of this Resolution be furnished the Board of Nursing, Director forLicensure, Application Division, Examination Division, Rating Division, Secretariat, ICTDivision, Legal Division, Supply & Property Division, Budget Division, AccountingDivision, ESTF, PIMRU, all Regional Offices and all schools, colleges and universitiesoffering the Nursing course for their information and guidance.

The NOVEMBER 2008 Board Exam Results ( NLE Result ) will be out anytime soon. The Board of Nurses are quarantined today and this is a signal that the results will be out one to two weeks after the start of the quarantine. Our sources say that the possible release date is on Feb. 21 or 22, 2009.
In relation to this, all nurses are advised to subscribe to our email feed updates so that whenever we post the news about the results, you will automatically receive an update by your email.

passed the Nurse (First Timers, Repeaters, Removals) Licensure Examination given by the Board of Nursing in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last June 2008. The result of examination with respect to one (1) examinee was withheld pending final determination of her liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.

Walk-in inductees who wish to join the Manila oathtaking ceremonies may secure admission tickets at the Philippine Nurses’ Association, 1663 F.T. Benitez Street, Malate, Manila on a strictly first come first serve basis.
